The Prada Group has announced the appointment of Silvia Onofri as Chief Executive Officer of Miu Miu, effective February 26th, 2025. Having previously served as Brand President of Napapijri, Onofri will succeed Benedetta Petruzzo, who left to join Christian Dior Couture as managing director in October 2024. Most recently, Onofri was Brand President of VF Corp-owned premium outerwear brand Napapijri, initiating a modernisation and rebranding strategy.

Onofri began her career at Bulgari, where she worked for 6 years in various positions, including Marketing and Product Manager, and Corporate Trade Marketing Manager. In 2008, she joined Bally, one of the world’s longstanding luxury brands based in Lugano, where she rose to the position of CEO EMEA and then Chief Commercial Officer of global wholesale. During her 15 years at Bally, Onofri gained invaluable experience in brand development, international market expansion, strategic wholesale management, and licensing operations, solidifying her expertise in scaling luxury businesses globally.
Onofri holds a degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and an MBA from Sapienza Università di Roma. Miu Miu, Prada’s “little sister,” recorded a remarkable 97% revenue increase, reaching €854 million in the first nine months of 2024. Miu Miu remains among the most in-demand brands, achieving an impressive 105% growth in the third quarter. Now a cornerstone of the Prada Group, its share of total sales has risen to 25%, compared to 15% the previous year.
Bringing her extensive experience in the luxury fashion industry and global business management, Onofri will assist Miu Miu’s continuous growth and success, increasing the brand’s global visibility. Onofri will assume her role under the leadership of Prada Group CEO Andrea Guerra.
