Cranchi Yachts is set to unveil an installation that transcends traditional boundaries in the heart of Milan’s Brera Design District. “Immersio Temporis”, designed by the visionary Christian Grande, explores time, an immersive experience where innovation meets history. From April 7 to 13, the historic Palazzo Clerici will serve as the backdrop for this extraordinary sensory journey, where design, craftsmanship, and storytelling intertwine in a seamless dialogue between the past and future.
Cranchi Yachts, an undisputed icon of Italian nautical excellence, has long been recognized for its ability to push beyond conventional yacht-making, incorporating contemporary design and cutting-edge technology. At the centre of this visual composition, a keel appears suspended between earth and sky, symbolizing a crystallized moment where time is held still. The design plays with contrasts, balancing fluidity with solidity and weightlessness with a grounding of a concept mirroring the ever-evolving relationship between water, motion, and memory.
The setting itself amplifies the experience. Visitors will be enveloped by 500 square meters of printed crystal fabric, evoking the boundless continuity of water while anchoring their gaze on the firm foundation that has underpinned Cranchi Yachts since its inception in 1870. This interplay of motion and stillness, air and sea, craftsmanship and avant-garde design create an atmosphere inviting introspection and wonder. Further deepening the immersive nature of the project, the Sala delle Colonne will host a video installation narrated by Christian Grande himself. The designer, renowned for blending tangible and intangible elements, will guide guests through the creative genesis of “Immersio Temporis”, shedding light on the inspirations, challenges, and breakthroughs that shaped the final piece. His narrative will illuminate how the principles of yacht design find new expression in this installation, forging a dialogue between nautical craftsmanship and contemporary design.
