On the evening of the 16th of May, the Croisette bore witness to something altogether extraordinary, an event that surpassed even the most ambitious of expectations and left its guests, to a person, utterly enchanted. The sun-drenched French Riviera and the iconic five-star Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic became the stage for one of the most glittering and emotionally resonant evenings: the Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses.

More than 150 distinguished guests from around the world gathered for this exclusive and highly anticipated celebration, stepping into a universe where refinement, fantasy and artistry merged to create an unforgettable spectacle. Conceived and organised by Noble Monte-Carlo, this magnificent gala, a heartfelt tribute to the Principality of Monaco and to the enduring grace of Princess Grace Kelly, proved to be a triumph of elegance, culture, and genuine human warmth. It was, by every measure, an astonishing success.

The evening’s guiding theme – a Hollywood dream in royal splendour – found its fullest possible expression in every corner of Le Majestic’s legendary halls. From the moment guests crossed the threshold, it was apparent that something of rare distinction had been prepared. The scenography transported the ballroom out of the present entirely, dissolving the constraints of the everyday and replacing them with an atmosphere drawn, with extraordinary craft, from the gilded corridors of Monaco’s princely tradition and the silver-screen mythology of Hollywood’s golden age. Grace Kelly, who embodied both worlds with an effortlessness that has never quite been replicated, was felt as a presiding presence throughout, in the light, in the music, in the very air of the room.

The artistic programme was nothing short of spectacular. Imagined and artistically directed by renowned opera singer and UNICEF ambassador Delia Grace Noble, the evening paid tribute to the Principality of Monaco and the eternal grace of Grace Kelly.

Through music, dance, spectacular décor, and theatrical staging, guests were immersed in an emotional and cinematic experience unlike any other during the Cannes Film Festival. The Grand Ball unveiled a magnificent artistic production featuring nearly fifty internationally acclaimed performers, including the Municipal Guards Orchestra, the Czech National dance team, opera soloists, classical musicians, and international stage performers.

Internationally acclaimed dancers, musicians, and performers animated the night with a sense of theatrical wonder that never once faltered. Each act seemed, improbably, to surpass the last, carrying the assembled guests deeper into the enchanted world that the organisers had so meticulously constructed. The gala dining experience rose to the same extraordinary standard: conceived with the precision and passion that the occasion demanded, it was a culinary journey to match the visual and emotional splendour of the evening.

The “Lord of Truffle” with his truffle show left all the prestigious guests speechless. The grandeur of this marvellous event was made possible by the invaluable touch of luxury and excellence provided by the magnificent creations “April Black Diamond”, the enchanting floral decorations by “Riviera Deco Events”, the table artistry crafted by “G&G Party Service”, and the exquisite selection of exceptional wines and prestigious Champagne from “Mon Collectionneur.” Nothing had been left to chance, and it showed. The Grand Ball gathered, as befits an occasion of such stature, a constellation of distinguished guests, international personalities, and individuals united by a sincere devotion to beauty, culture, and excellence. That it took place during the Cannes Film Festival was entirely fitting: this was, after all, a moment when the world’s most discerning eyes were already turned towards the Riviera, and when the appetite for the extraordinary had reached its annual zenith.

What elevated the Grand Ball beyond the purely spectacular was its philanthropic dimension. A portion of the evening’s proceeds was donated to the Princess Grace of Monaco Foundation, an institution long committed to the arts, to humanitarian causes, and to the preservation of the Princess’s cultural legacy. In this respect, the ball carried a moral seriousness beneath its glittering surface, a recognition that true elegance has never been separable from generosity of spirit. It was a detail that Grace Kelly herself would, one feels certain, have warmly approved of.

An exceptional artistic project further enriched the evening. Presented in collaboration with the renowned photographer Patrick Nassogne, a remarkable series of photographs, imbued with both grace and strength, was exhibited in the Festival’s Cour d’Honneur as part of the visionary initiative “Women and Cinema”: a vibrant homage to women and their profound role in cinema.

Through his masterly artistic vision, Nassogne reinterpreted two of Grace Kelly’s most iconic films, “Rear Window” and “To Catch a Thief,” capturing the timeless elegance and subtle sensitivity that defined this legendary figure. The exhibition added a further layer of cultural depth to an already extraordinary evening.

The Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses… an extraordinary event that beautifully blended culture, elegance, and glamour. The enchanting atmosphere left an indelible impression, celebrating the pure values that will continue to shine brightly in the future. The next Grand Ball is scheduled to take place this autumn in Monaco, for the Monte-Carlo edition.
