The prestigious Italian yacht manufacturer Riva celebrated the launch of the 20th unit of the Riva 102’ Corsaro Super at its shipyard in La Spezia, a hub dedicated to crafting vessels ranging from 76 to 130 feet. The presence of Charles Leclerc graced this exceptional occasion, the Monegasque Formula 1 driver and proud owner of a Riva 82’ Diva, who has again chosen Riva for his latest yacht. The atmosphere during the ceremony was intimate and sophisticated, reflecting the enduring allure and craftsmanship associated with the Riva brand. The event served as confirmation of Charles Leclerc’s deep-rooted passion for Riva, a sentiment clearly reciprocated by the brand. The Riva 102’ Corsaro Super is a flybridge yacht that elegantly marries the sporty lines that made its predecessor, the 100’ Corsaro, iconic, with the timeless elegance that Riva is renowned for. This model embodies a closer relationship with the sea, showcasing a sleek and dynamic profile, characterised by expansive glass surfaces that enhance the transition between interior and exterior spaces, amplifying both light and spatial perception. Collaboratively designed by Officina Italiana Design, a studio founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta that has exclusively crafted all Riva models for over thirty years, the 102’ Corsaro Super also benefits from the strategic insights of the Product Strategic Committee, chaired by Engineer Piero Ferrari, alongside the Engineering Directorate of Ferretti Group. This partnership has resulted in a yacht that not only captivates with its aesthetic appeal but also excels in performance and technological advancements.
Charles Leclerc’s personal taste is reflected in the yacht’s external fittings, which feature furnishings by Minotti, chosen for their perfect balance between absolute comfort and contemporary design. These are complemented by decorative cushions from Jim Thompson, adding a touch of elegance. The flybridge is equipped with a custom-built bar that boasts an enlarged grill, induction hob, two refrigerators, and an ice maker, transforming it into a true open-air kitchen ideal for social gatherings. At the stern, the beach club area, spanning over 35 square metres, is designed for maximum versatility and direct access to the water. This space is enhanced by an inflatable platform dedicated to water toys, complete with a custom ladder and ramp, further extending the area’s usability. Such features ensure that guests can enjoy the water in comfort and style.
The yacht’s interiors are a blend of refinement and modernity, personalised with furnishings by Poliform and bespoke details selected by Leclerc himself, such as the door handles. The main salon and the owner’s suite are outfitted with Bang & Olufsen audio/video systems, ensuring an immersive multimedia experience seamlessly integrated into the architectural layout of the spaces. A standout feature of the owner’s suite is the bathroom, crafted from glossy Calacatta Vagli Oro marble, which imbues the environment with both brightness and a sculptural quality. In contrast, the other bathrooms and surfaces feature Corian Calacatta Greige, a contemporary choice that harmonises with the yacht’s overall colour scheme. For the owner’s cabin and guest cabins on the lower deck, Leclerc has selected luxurious textile details, including Frette linens, bath towels, beach towels, duvets, and toppers. The dining and social spaces are adorned with exquisite Christofle tableware, further elevating the onboard experience.
Under the hood, the Riva 102’ Corsaro Super is powered by twin MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines, each producing 2638 HP and compliant with EPA TIER III standards. This setup not only guarantees high performance but also achieves a cruising speed of 24 knots, with a maximum speed of 28 knots. To ensure exceptional navigational comfort, advanced stabilisation solutions have been incorporated. In addition to Hydrotab interceptors and Sleipner’s Vector Fins stabilisers, the yacht is equipped with Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilisers, significantly reducing roll both at anchor and during navigation.
