What was your main inspiration for founding Natylde Gioielli? Was there a particular event or person that influenced your creative journey?
My inspiration stems from a deep love for ancient art and timeless design. I have always been fascinated by Baroque architecture, Art Deco ornamentation, and the stained-glass windows of churches, which, to me, represent a way of seeing the world through different shades and perspectives. I have always longed to create something that could withstand the passage of time, much like the jewels unearthed by archaeologists, treasures that continue to tell stories of the past. The name Natylde symbolizes two generations, myself and my daughter Matilde, a profound bond that is reflected in my work.
How would you describe the design philosophy of Natylde Gioielli?
My design is a bridge between eras, a dialogue between tradition and innovation. I am drawn to harmonious forms and intricate details that reflect the essence of a historical period, yet I also appreciate the minimalism that allows the beauty of materials to shine. Each of my creations is a small fragment of history, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. I believe that jewelry is not just an accessory; it is a wearable piece of art. Natylde Gioielli is built on a philosophy of balance, between simplicity and refinement, strength and lightness. Every piece is meant to be timeless, telling a story while subtly enhancing the uniqueness of the wearer with both discretion and character.
What inspired the “Contessa” collection, and how has it evolved over time?
The Contessa collection was born from my admiration for noble residences and the elegance of aristocratic women of the past. In history, every accessory was meticulously crafted to reflect the status and personality of its owner. I wanted to capture that same attention to detail in my jewelry while giving it a modern interpretation. For me, Contessa is more than just a collection, it is a symbol of femininity and strength. I sought to represent the duality of the modern woman, who can be as delicate as porcelain, yet strong and resilient. Each piece is designed to embody this harmony between grace and determination.

Why did you choose porcelain, and what challenges does it present in creating high-quality jewelry?
Porcelain is an extraordinary material. It is fired at temperatures between 1300 and 1400°C, making it incredibly durable. However, working with porcelain for jewelry is a challenge because it requires extreme precision in shaping and glazing. Every color must withstand high temperatures without losing its intensity, and the firing process must be meticulously calibrated. Porcelain is a metaphor for life, precious, delicate, yet capable of enduring time. My goal is to transform it into unique jewelry pieces, where tradition meets innovation. Every technical challenge in working with porcelain is a testament to the value of craftsmanship, patience, and passion.
What are your future projects for Natylde Gioielli?
I am working on new collections that will explore the fusion of porcelain with other precious materials, such as Murano glass and natural gemstones. Additionally, I am researching new techniques to make my jewelry even more exclusive and unique. My vision for the future is to continue experimenting, learning, and creating jewelry that has a soul. Each new collection is born from deep inspiration, and I want the brand to grow naturally while staying true to its authenticity.
