Innovation knows no bounds, and Riva, the renowned maritime icon, continues showcasing its creative brilliance after over 180 years. With a legacy of crafting iconic boats ranging from 8 to 90 meters, each bearing the unmistakable aquamarine blue hue, Riva once again captures our imagination with the introduction of the Riva 82’ Diva. This exquisite flybridge yacht marks the beginning of a new era in its category, redefining the concept of space and setting a new standard for outdoor luxury. Recently launched at the La Spezia shipyard, where Riva constructs their impressive 76-to-130-foot models, the Riva 82’ Diva joins an opulent fleet of flybridges that includes notable successes like the Riva 90’ Argo, Riva 102’ Corsaro Super, Riva 110’ Dolcevita, and Riva 130’ Bellissima. It introduces a fresh boat size and presents a revolutionary approach to spatial utilization.
Designed by the brilliant minds of Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, in collaboration with the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, the Riva 82’ Diva bears the unmistakable hallmark of exceptional craftsmanship. It presents a new paradigm for interior and exterior spaces, wherein each environment is meticulously designed to optimize functionality and enhance the cruising experience. The yacht’s outdoor areas take centre stage, immersing guests in a close connection with the sea and providing unparalleled dimensions for the category. The expansive 40-square-meter flybridge stands out as one of the largest in its class, offering dedicated spaces for various activities. A lounge area with a dinette and bar, nestled beneath a carbon fibre hardtop with glass panels, creates a central gathering point. Forward lies a sunbathing area, while an additional lounge area awaits at the aft.
Descending to the main deck, one encounters the yacht’s main highlight—the spacious stern beach club. Characterized by two large bulwarks that swing down to form lateral terraces, the beach club expands its width by an impressive 3 meters. At its heart, underneath the vast sundeck, a garage accommodates a jet tender of up to 3.45 meters and a seabob. Towards the bow of the beach club, an elevated cockpit boasts sea-view sofas, presenting an unprecedented living area spanning nearly 35 square meters. The interior spaces of the Riva 82’ Diva offer innovative solutions that seamlessly blend exceptional design with comfort. The saloon features a cockpit-level living space preceding a panoramic dining area, which is subtly elevated to define the settings while maintaining a seamless flow visually. The galley, positioned at the forward end of the main deck, connects to the helm station and the forward lounge area via a port-side external walkway. This arrangement allows for a versatile space that can be either closed off or opened up, promoting a harmonious atmosphere. Even the stairwell leading to the flybridge contributes to the decor, featuring glass walls that dissolve the visual barrier between the interior and exterior.
The lower deck accommodates four cabins, including three guest cabins with ensuite bathrooms and a full-beam owner’s cabin at the aft. With a capacity to host up to eight guests, the Riva 82’ Diva ensures comfort and luxury throughout. The crew quarters consist of two separate cabins with a total of three beds, conveniently located amidships and accessible via a dedicated walkway on the side of the superstructure, ensuring privacy for both the owner and guests. Measuring over 25 meters in length and boasting a maximum beam of over 6 meters, the Riva 82’ Diva exudes agile beauty and unmatched elegance. While retaining the distinctive features of its predecessors, such as the low and sporty profile of the superstructure, the yacht incorporates innovative solutions. Notably, higher and safer lateral gunwales with painted composite profiles replace traditional stainless steel handrails, breathing life into a yacht that sets a new standard of excellence. When it comes to performance, the owner of the Riva 82’ Diva has a choice between installing a pair of MAN V12 1800 engines, providing a top speed of 29 knots and a cruising speed of 26, or two MAN V12 1900 engines, enabling a top speed of 31 knots and a cruising speed of 27 (provisional data).
Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness the grand debut of the Riva 82’ Diva at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2023, where this exceptional masterpiece will captivate the hearts of all who encounter it. Prepare to embark on a new era of flybridge luxury, where the Riva 82’ Diva reigns supreme, offering endless outdoor space and an unparalleled cruising experience.
