The new boutique, which occupies 25 square meters, features interior design elements in pure Borsalino style. The opening marks a new step in the brand’s travel-retail development project. The new boutique at Venice Marco Polo Airport joins Borsalino’s established locations at Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate, and Rome Fiumicino T1 and T3. The Borsalino boutique is the perfect spot for travellers wishing to expand their collection of designer hats or start one ahead of the summer holidays in Europe. The Marco Polo airport location offers a variety of exclusive luxury collections of hats, caps, and accessories for both men and women.
Borsalino has been in business since 1857. It started as a small atelier specialising in the production of felt hats in Alessandria, North of Italy, launched by the 23-year-old Giuseppe Borsalino. Just ten years later, Borsalino was recognised with a top-class medal at the Esposizione di Torino. Since then, Borsalino hats have represented distinctive high-end craftsmanship, elegant Italian style, and exclusivity. To this day, Borsalino’s manufacturing process involves handcrafting, which guarantees precision and quality. The material for Borsalino’s straw hats is brought from the coast of Ecuador, renowned for its art of weaving; the hats are hand-twisted and take up to 6 months to create.
